“But what must I do to get a sixpack?” asked the little prince. The little prince never let go of a question, once he had asked it.

“You must be very patient” replied the fox.

“You must stop trying the methods while ignoring the principles. As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. Otherwise you are sure to have trouble.”

#1 Quality first

I eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. I keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. And no matter what the guru says, protein with a face, a mother, and soul is the way to go if I want to reach optimal health and performance.

#2 purpose second

I eat for what I am going to do next, not for what has already happened.
